Job Summary: This position is concerned with technical direction in several industrial engineering functions and effective coordination with the manufacturing departments, project engineering, and accounting department to implement recommendations. Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Implements work measurement techniques, evaluates results and recommends subsequent improvements.
- Recognizes the need, analyzes and recommends improved methods, systems, procedures and material flow. Coordinates and implements methodology improvements.
- Prepares cost estimates and comparisons of existing alternatives and presents findings to appropriate supervisory/managerial personnel.
- Prepares, analyzes, and presents manpower estimates and project budget requirements.
- Develops and recommends material handling and plant and office layout analyses.
- Analyzes, develops and processes appropriation requests, coordinates through implementation and follow-up.
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, project engineering, quality engineering and other operating functions to prepare personnel and material activity measurements.
- Additional tasks as needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: B.S. in Industrial Engineering required.
Experience: Two (2) years industrial engineering experience required.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as WORD, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to recognize manufacturing problems in the pre-production stage and make recommendations for their resolution.
- Must have the ability to recognize fundamental causes for specific industrial engineering problems.
- US citizenship is required at time of hire.
