Job Duties
Business Development: Participate in onsite and offsite marketing events to maintain
existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Gatekeeper: Provide support to the BRP Project Director to resolve all issues tied to the
in-house life of a file from opening, to monthly billing, to closing.
Intake: Review Hourly Rates / Credit Allocations / Matter Names / Class Code status for
all new matters, +/- 200 each month.
PreBills: Verify monthly PreBills have generated for BRP Billing Partners regardless of
activity, with correct timekeeper rates and current matter status.
Escrow Accounts: Assist with reviewing and approving all Trust Disbursements
($300M / year) clearing the multiple SunTrust and Bank of America Escrow Accounts.
Reconcile transfers sent to H&K’s Operating Account (attorney fees) and net funds
released to clients. Ensure all Trust transactions are recorded by the end of each day.
Matter Credit Balance Reports: Follow BRP Billing Partner instructions to complete all
monthly WIP transfers, Cash / On Account transfers, and file closure requests. Provide
supporting financial reports as requested.
Billing Transactions – % Fee: Ensure the % math is correct before delivering invoices
to clients. Ensure the resulting attorney fees are recorded to the correct client matter.
Billing Transactions – Hourly Rates: Review all monthly in-house On Account
invoices and final invoices before delivery to clients.
BRP Project Director Support: Respond to monthly one-off requests as they arise.
BRP Billing Partner Support: Respond to monthly one-off requests as they arise.
