Medical Director/Psychiatrist
Restpadd Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is looking for a full-time or contracted Medical Director/Psychiatrist. Restpadd PHF has two 16-bed inpatient facilities located in Redding and Red Bluff, California. The 24-hour facility provides acute care to both adults and youths with mental health disabilities. Restpadd was opened in April of 2013 and contracts with over 13 counties to provide much needed psychiatric services.
The Medical Director/Psychiatrist will work as part of our interdisciplinary treatment team to diagnose and treat patients with mental health disabilities. The diverse program employs psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, clinical social workers, registered nurses, vocational nurses, mental health technicians, and clerical staff. Together we work collaboratively to provide quality mental health care in a patient-centered, supportive, and culturally sensitive milieu.

Basic duties include but not limited to:
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations for patients admitted to PHF
- Perform follow-up psychiatric assessments and discharge summaries for PHF patients
- Develop diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses for evaluations
- Prescribe, write, and sign orders of medications for the treatment of patients
- Order and interpret all clinically necessary diagnostic and laboratory studies
- Participate regularly in interdisciplinary plan meetings and other leadership meetings
- Provide clinical supervision and management to NP’s, PA’s, and other MD’s
- Responsible for training and scheduling of NP’s, PA’s, and MD’s
- Facilitate, supervise, and participate in quality assurance and peer review process
- The Medical Director will be expected to be on duty two to three days per week

Minimum Qualifications:
- Meet all licensing requirements for the State of California
- Must have (or able to obtain upon hire) DEA and NPI number
- CPR certification
- CPI certification
Salary:
- $275,000 - $325,00 depending on experience
