The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of various financial processes, including technician payroll, commission calculations, invoice review, accounts payable management, and collections. Additionally, you will play a key role in generating departmental KPI reports and providing support to technicians, managers, and customers by researching and responding to inquiries.
Essential Job Functions
- Accurately process weekly payroll for 20-40 technicians with various pay structures in multiple departments.
- Create all weekly payroll reports for technicians and related managers.
- Work with departmental managers on all technician issues.
- Review technician invoices and payment receipts for accuracy with daily posting.
- Answer field technician questions regarding payroll and ensure the prompt resolution and communication of any issues.
- Daily review and collection of all outstanding accounts receivable. Provide weekly reporting of all unresolved collection issues.
- Process customer credits and refunds, and research/respond to any customer inquiries within 24 hours.
- Assist with the preparation of various weekly internal reports and other ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Cover receptionist desk as needed for lunches and vacations.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess high level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and willing to roll up sleeves to properly prioritize and complete competing duties with strict deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience/Education:
- Some college Accounting/Finance classes preferred.
- Minimum 2 years payroll/accounting experience, including accounts receivable.
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct or Service Titan software preferred.
