Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies. This includes preparing and processing outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers, maintaining accurate shipping records, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Shipments:

Verify and package items for shipment.

Ensure packages are properly labeled with shipping information.

Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.

Coordinate with Carriers:

Schedule pickups with carriers.
-
Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
-
Resolve any issues or delays with carriers.

Maintain Records:

Keep accurate records of all shipped items.

Update shipping logs and databases with shipment details.

File and manage shipping documents.

Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by recording outgoing shipments.

Conduct periodic inventory counts.

Quality Control:

Inspect items for damage before shipment.

Ensure packages are secure and meet quality standards.

Customer Service:

Communicate with customers regarding shipping status and issues.

Resolve customer complaints related to shipments.

Compliance:

Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Stay informed about shipping regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.

SAP, MS word, excel

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency with shipping software and Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication skills.
