Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in their homes. Duties:
- Provide personalized care to clients in their homes, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as prescribed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care activities.
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of home care systems and practices.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and positioning clients safely.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques that meet dietary requirements.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately.
- Understanding of home community care principles.
- Experience in providing patient care, including hospice care if applicable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
