A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms hallways and public areas in the hotel servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures stocking cart with room supplies and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks. Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
· Clean bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms and public spaces. Attention to detail is essential.
· Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of biodegradable, all natural cleaning products.
· Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedding weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
· Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
· Sign for room keys, restock cart and carry linen baskets to assigned rooms.
· Notify management and/or maintenance of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed or damage to floor covering, upholstery, etc.
· Attend all departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communication and gain knowledge of products, service and facility.
· Respond to customer inquiries and comments by providing timely and knowledgeable information.
· Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safety and protection of self, employees and guests.
· Assist with other housekeeping duties as requested by management.

Requirements:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Previous hotel housekeeping experience.
· Friendly, goal-oriented and outgoing with great people skills
· Excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills required
· Appearance must be clean and professional with a cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
· Able to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
· Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, reach and walk 8 to 10 hours a day.
· Able to grasp, lift, carry. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day.
· Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
