Henry Repeating Arms is a family owned business that manufactures several lines of classic, well-crafted firearms and a leader in the firearms industry. Our Rice Lake and Ladysmith facilities have over 80 CNC machines, consisting of horizontal and vertical machining centers, turning centers, Swiss, custom CNC’s for barrel making and other state of the art production machines.
We are looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist/Applications Specialist to join our team in Ladysmith, WI. A CNC Machinist/Applications Specialist develops the process for CNC machining on new products, as well as optimizing the process on current products. Position is also responsible for continuous improvement of existing CNC production, including tooling, gauging, fixtures, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Creates CNC programs for new products CAM software, preferably Mastercam.
- Creates set-ups for new products, including tooling selection and proper documentation for the production operators.
- Evaluates, optimizes and improves existing CNC processes; including programs, tooling, gauging, set-up procedures and work holding.
- Assists Engineering in establishing gauging and work instructions for new product set-ups.
- Participate with a team in the design and development of work holding concepts, processes, machines and continuous improvement.
- Works with the Engineering team for implementation of recommended changes and improvements to products.
- Provides technical support and data to internal departments as requested.
Education/Experience:
- Completion of a 2 year vocational school degree in Machine Tool Operation or equivalent job experience
- Demonstrated skills in Mastercam or similar CAM software program
- Ability to read and understand blueprints

- Must be self-motivated, highly organized and have the ability to multi-task
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
