Job Summary: As an Editor/Photojournalist, you will shoot, report, and edit videotape of news, weather, sports, entertainment, community, and other informational stories.
Job Responsibilities:

Work independently when necessary.
- Work creatively with anchor/reporters and content producers to package stories.
- Organize video for broadcasts.
- Operate all editing and recording equipment.
- Operate live equipment.
- Display high journalistic standards.
- Edit stories, series, and special projects.
- Work with reporters and producers to package stories.
- Record sound and pictures on video for broadcasts, displaying awareness of the elements of good photojournalism.
- Stay in contact with Assignment Desk throughout shift, coordinate with Assignment Desk and Reporter; communicate ideas for specific story assignments.
- Apply editing skills for stories.
- Organize video for broadcasting.
- Receive satellite, microwave, and fiber optic feeds as necessary.
- Edit stories for news broadcasts.
- Check run downs and edit stories in order of importance.
- Download video to server for daily editing.
- Locate all field tapes for future editing.
Job Schedule: This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, breaking news, severe weather, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum two years college or trade school with emphasis on Radio/TV or Journalism preferred.

Minimum one year of news photographer experience preferred. Prefer on to two years of experience small to medium market as videotape editor.

Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
