Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for a
Regional Director of Academics! This position will work with our Play and Project-based schools based in Florida. This role will travel throughout the state, primarily in South Florida and Orlando, and is expected to be on-site at schools 4 days a week. The Regional Director of Academics (RDA) works in partnership with our Operations team and serves as an inspiring guide and compassionate mentor for the School Leaders and Educators in their region. The RDA facilitates the implementation and school/classroom alignment of Project-Play Based Education in safe, healthy, and nurturing environments which support each child's social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development.
Essential Tasks

Assisting and supporting educators to:
- Be deeply grounded, self-reflect, and act from the Project Play Based pedagogy in all aspects of their work.
- Create inviting, well-designed, and beautiful Project or Play Based classrooms with a full range and use of age-appropriate and open-ended learning materials that allow children to explore and hypothesize ideas about their world around them.
- Develop a curriculum that provides experiences for small groups of children but also identifies the individual abilities and needs of each learner. This information enhances the educators' intentional planning of experiences that are based on each student's developmental levels.
- Supports and mentors School Leaders and Educators by:
- Nurturing and mentoring School Leaders responsible for the program curriculum by supporting their success and development.
- Serving as a resource and support to faculty who need advice and guidance, offering feedback and support when necessary.
- Observing frequently in schools and classrooms; offering feedback and support towards the best Project or Play Based Education practices.
- Demonstrates Leadership by:
- Training and mentoring all School Academic Leaders and designated school staff who will have contact with children.
- Overseeing our new hire training program for the assigned region.
- Supporting new integrations in the region, as needed.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education

Early Childhood Education credentials and/or coursework

5+ years of lead teaching experience in an Early Childhood classroom

Early Leaning Leadership experience preferred

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Starting Pay: 70,000 per year, depending on education and experience.
