The SUD Counselor will provide alcohol/drug treatment services for PRC's certified substance abuse program, be knowledgeable about current WAC regulations in all chemical dependency program areas and refer clients elsewhere when necessary.
Responsibilities include providing drug/alcohol treatment services to clients as well as screening, diagnosis and referral of clients to appropriate programs in or outside of PRC's drug program depending on client need. Provide individual or group counseling -IOP and aftercare, prepare reports for pre-sentence investigation and prosecution and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associates degree in human services or social sciences is required , a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in human services or the social sciences is Preferred. Must be able to meet minimum standards for certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional as defined in Chapter 248-811 WAC; meet WAC 246-811-049 approved supervision requirement; proven experience in providing clinical and case management services, minimum two years freedom from misuse of alcohol and drugs, and pass a satisfactory criminal background check.
