Job Summary: Responsible for set up, troubleshooting, operation and tending to injection molding machines to mold thermoplastic products. Job Responsibilities: • Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary. • Maintain all injection molding equipment, assist with mold setups, provide operator training and troubleshoot and correct processing problems in a GMP environment. • Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. • Perform other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervisor. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education: High School Diploma or General Education equivalent required. • Experience: Three to five years of previous injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment required. Knowledge of the plastic injection molding process and materials. Experience with mold setups, daily routine maintenance and safety checks. Experience with Husky machines and hot runner systems a plus. Previous machine operation experience strongly preferred. • Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and management. Capability to remain rational and respond appropriately in stressful situations. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Operation and Control — controlling operations of equipment or systems. Operation Monitoring — watching gauges, dials, or other indicator to make sure a machine is working properly. Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
