Miller Brother Staffing in Lancaster, PA has the immediate need of an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for 1st shift.
Pay Rate – $24-$25/hour **based on experience** ($0.75 shift differential for 2nd shift)
Shift: 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm
2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Overtime: possible

Job Description
The successful candidate will be working in our maintenance department, supporting our production floor by maintaining and servicing the equipment and machines used day-to-day to meet production goals, to include: troubleshooting equipment failures, routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical maintenance.
Essential Functions
- Cover all emergency breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner.
- Report problems with equipment, leaks, and other deficiencies and act as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Troubleshoots and repairs 3-phase motors up to 480v
- Utilizes testing equipment including multi-meters
- Electrical background preferred
- Familiar with 480vAC,120vAC, 24vDC and 4-20mA systems
- Will have a basic understanding of pneumatics
- Assess operational state of equipment, filters, oil, hydraulics, compressors, motors, pumps, plumbing and electrical systems and determine course of action if needed.
- Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision.
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Self-Motivated and experience working in a manufacturing facility or similar environment
- Ability to work safely following all safety rules and regulations

Requirements:
Skills & Qualifications
- Possess the skill and ability to perform all basic mechanical and electrical duties required.
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature, and pressure gauges
- Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components.
- Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics
- Experience operating test equipment and/or software
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to handle flexible work environment while meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to strictly adhere to all safety standards
- Ability to maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance
- Complete a maintenance background test
- Ability to read and communicate in English
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of well-rounded and progressive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training
- At least 2-3 years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in industrial manufacturing)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Solid prior work history
