The Registered Nurse contributes to the company’s mission and supports the company’s values by providing safe, effective patient care during both the pre and post-operative period, in accordance with applicable standards of practice. Working independently, they will admit and educate patients for each procedure, set up procedure rooms, assist the treating physician with all endoscopy procedures, and recovery of patients post-procedure. The RN will be responsible for monitoring vitals and providing discharge information and reports as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide quality nursing care, both telephonic and in person

Accurately record patient information

Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind

Assist in developing individualized treatment plans

Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referral
- Return patient calls and follow up with patients regarding pathology results
- Place orders for patient procedures

Evaluate and provide appropriate education of patient and/or family based on condition/diagnosis

Support patient procedure scheduling in conjunction with Casper staff

Recognize and act on emergency care needs in the event of respiratory and/or cardiac occurrences

Report emergencies, unusual occurrences, and/or problems to the Provider

Report emergencies, unusual occurrences, and/or problems to the Operations Manager, or Lead RN.
- Assist with housekeeping duties and clinic needs, including cleaning, wrapping and sterilizing equipment.
- Registered Nurse with current CO RN license
- BLS certification required

ACLS certification required

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI lab, Surgery Center or Critical Care setting highly preferred

Pre-Op and/or PACU experience is helpful

Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as EPIC, required

Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
