The chef position is responsible for providing nourishing food to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. The chef prepares all food in sufficient quantity and quality to cover food service requirements; observes, instructs and enforces sanitary standards for food preparation and storage to ensure safety and quality of foods. The chef must be able to lift at least 35 pounds and be able to stand 6 or more hours per day. Previous chef experience is preferred but not required.
Chef Shift: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 2-3 days/week
The Culinary Specialist performs tasks related to the preparation, transport, and serving of food, and related cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, dishwashing, equipment, floors, walls, tables, and equipment; replenishes food and supply stocks in kitchen, dining areas, and employee lounges.
Culinary Specialist Shift: 11am-7pm 1-2 days per week
This is a temporary position but could lead to permanent dependent on needs of facility and candidate filling the position. Part-time but could lead to fulltime to assist with coverage of summer vacations. Mixture of shifts for both positions. Every other weekend is required. Schedule will be firm.
Must pass a caregiver criminal background check to be eligible. Must have transportation to and from work location.
