Job Responsibilities:
Reverse engineer various laser-related OEM parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Conceptualize and manage projects, including detailed assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Utilize mechanical and electronic engineering experience for prototype design and hands-on fabrication.
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to laser systems.
Operate standard lab equipment, including vernier calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
Cross-train in the field of CO2 lasers and laser-related electronics.
Preferred Experience:
Working with metals, including indium, Pyrex, quartz, Delrin, aluminum, stainless steel, and tungsten.
Using mills, lathes, bandsaws, and other mechanical equipment.
Performing mechanical equipment repairs.
Handling vacuum pumps and gauges.
