A Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a professional with an exceptional service attitude who is the first point of contact for all patients entering the office. The PCA performs various support tasks to assist in each patient's care. The PCA assists patients with completing their registration at the kiosk and guiding them to their designated waiting areas. In addition, the PCA is responsible for educating the patient about their medical insurance benefits versus their vision plan benefits. Lastly, the PCA will work towards making sure that the patient leaves satisfied and has received an exceptional experience at Visionary Eye Doctors.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Highly skilled in greeting guests in a courteous and professional way

Directs patients to check in at the kiosk

Understands the entire office operations sufficiently to direct patients accordingly

Directs patient to the appropriate waiting area upon arrival

Demonstrates ability to answer the patient's questions or concerns and direct them to the right person

Ability to schedule and cancel appointments using our EHR system

Ability to scan and photocopy records to the corresponding accounts and/or files

Be able to complete daily tasks

Be able to complete daily recalls to a patient who is due to return for their recommended visits
Qualifications & Skills

Bilingual preferred

Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Open-minded with a passion for learning a wide range of skills.

Proficient in computer and relevant software applicants and practice management technology

Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment

Ability to achieve team goals while demonstrating organizational values and utilizing resources responsibly.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on a given assignment.

Availability Monday-Friday and weekends.
