Childcare providers care for young children. Teaching through play and keeping children safe are the top priorities.
-Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children to learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
-provide a safe and nurturing environment
-ensure children are accounted for and supervised at all times
-build and maintain positive relationships with children, co workers and parents
-work together with other staff in a classroom to create an age appropriate monthly lesson plan
-daily cleaning including but not limited to- sweeping, vacuuming and mopping
-disinfecting of toys, equipment and surfaces
-assist children in potty training, diaper changes, and using the restroom
- be able to be patient with children
- able to speak to parents and coworkers professionally
-be reliable and on time
-be good team player and willing to help others without being asked
-other duties as assigned
Ability to lift and carry children; excellent communication skills, teaching skills, positive attitude, attentive to the needs and safety of children; punctual and professional. Highschool diploma/GED required. Previous daycare experience preferred, will train if needed.
