Black Rock Vape is a high-end, curated retail space that redefines the smoking experience in Austin. We specialize in the best smoking products found in market. Products range from THC-A, Delta, vapes, accessories and more. Our goal is to maintain a positive, uplifting, and fun experience for our customers while allowing you to connect, vibe, and grow with purpose. We are looking for the ideal candidate who fits:
- Product Knowledge: Understanding various vaping devices, e-liquids, and cannabis products is essential. This includes knowledge of different strains, potency levels, consumption methods, and potential effects.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills are crucial for assisting customers, answering questions, and providing recommendations. This includes being friendly, approachable, and attentive to customers' needs.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are necessary for explaining product features, discussing usage guidelines, and providing education on vaping or cannabis products. Clear communication can help ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
- Compliance and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale of vaping or cannabis products is essential. This includes understanding age restrictions, packaging requirements, and any local or state regulations governing the industry.
- Attention to Detail: Paying attention to detail is important for accurately handling transactions, verifying customer identification, and ensuring that products are labeled correctly and compliant with regulations.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Being able to troubleshoot issues with vaping devices or address customer concerns effectively requires strong problem-solving skills. This includes being able to think on your feet and find solutions to challenges as they arise.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues is often necessary in a retail environment. Being able to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively with coworkers, and support each other in providing excellent customer service is important.
- Salesmanship: Having some degree of salesmanship will be necesary when recommending products and upselling when appropriate. This includes understanding customer preferences and guiding them toward products that meet their needs.
- Discretion and Professionalism: Handling confidential information, such as customer preferences or medical marijuana recommendations, requires discretion and professionalism. Employees should understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Adaptability: The vaping and cannabis industries are constantly evolving, with new products and regulations emerging regularly. Employees should be adaptable and willing to learn about new products, technologies, and regulations to stay current in the industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 36 per week
