POSITION DESCRIPTION: Ingenia Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated, high-character Network Engineer to join a team of professionals at the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Joint Innovation and Experimentation (J81) Division. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about the USINDOPACOM region and mission and is also capable of researching, designing, testing, and evaluating novel network engineering solutions to complex challenges.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
-5+ years of experience designing network infrastructure for a large/complex network, particularly in a DoD environment.
-Experience with Operational Test & Evaluation concepts, best practices, and methods
-Experience designing and implementing MPLS/VPN networks, SDN, and data centers utilizing Virtual Switching Systems (VSS) ad Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
-Understanding of network technologies. (ACI, SDN, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, application load balancing, network visibility.)
-Understanding of network practices and protocols. (MPLS/SR, optical networking, LISP, VXLAN, IPv4, IPv6, 802.1X, segmentation, Qos, IPAM.)
-Experience with multi-vendor firewalls, multi-vendor switches and routers.
-Understanding and experience in cloud networking design for both hybrid and cloud native deployments.
-Knowledge of the TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnets, masking, and routing protocols.
-Knowledge of network bandwidth, requirements, routing through network devices or public network extensions.
-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) equivalent certification.
-DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT Level II.
-Experience with technologies and platforms that make up DoD information systems, including virtualization servers, such as VMware vSphere or vCenter 7+, host operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7+, host applications, including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Storage Area Networks (SANs), transport networks and core or edge network infrastructure, including Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, or Security Information Event Management (SIEM) and management tools that facilitate the troubleshooting of problem behaviors or promote the orchestration and automation of new deployments and recurring administrative tasks.
-Knowledge of the planning continuum to include the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), Joint Operating Concepts (JOC), and Joint Capabilities Areas (JCA).
-Detailed knowledge of USINDOPACOM policy and strategy and a thorough understanding of USINDOPACOM TCP/TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans including linkages to parallel national interests.
-Knowledge and experience in project management.
-Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials.
-Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility.

SALARY RANGE: $150,000-$200,000/year, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
