SUMMARY
AVAVA, Inc is a is a well-funded medical device startup company with a current focus in the Dermatology market space. Among the founders of AVAVA are Dr. Rox Anderson, Dr. Dieter Manstein, and Dr. Henry Chan from Massachusetts General Hospital and Hong Kong University, who are pioneering researchers in the field of laser dermatology with a successful track record of serial entrepreneurship. AVAVA is looking for Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners for both in-house clinical procedures and Sales Support assignments.
Administer procedures with investigational medical devices and provide medical oversight during procedures. Partner with management to develop corporate and department goals; and work with clinical operations staff to achieve established corporate and department goals within the expected timeline. Develop and implement Standards of Practice for on-site clinic and clinical trials
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of the Nurse Practitioner:
· Ensure on-site clinic and clinical trials activities are in compliance with good clinical practice and appropriate regulations.
· Streamline and continuously update paperwork needed for on-site clinic and clinical trials.
· Perform procedures with investigational medical devices in accordance with approved study protocols, and provide patient post-care following procedures
· Ensure on-site clinic is compliant with good clinical practice and appropriate regulations
· Assist with management of clinical research studies including subject recruitment, screening, and follow-up, as well as data management.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
ON-SITE CLINIC
- Perform procedures with investigations medical devices and conduct follow-up visits and post-care for patients in accordance with approved clinical protocols
- Determine efficient workflow practice for on-site clinic
- Provide treatment demonstrations for new employees and guests
- Help with recruitment of patients
- Interface with R&D, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing and Senior Management to provide clinical input and ensure integrity of clinical data
- Provide timely updates and status reports to clinical team and management on regular basis
- Participate in development of new and updated products and study protocols
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with third party vendors, organizations, and key opinion leaders
CLINICAL TRIALS
Support Clinical Trials through recruitment, screening, consenting, enrollment, treatment and follow-up of eligible subjects according to protocol requirements
- Ensure complete documentation including informed consent, case report forms and study specific tools
- Ensure adherence to the protocol requirements and timely and accurate data completion
- Appraise principal investigator of all study specific medical issues for guidance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may supervise a Medical Assistant or Fellow
Education and/or Experience
- Must be a board certified Nurse Practitioner.
- Clinical experience in dermatology, plastic surgery or aesthetic medical practice using laser and/or light based aesthetic systems setting and experience performing biopsys preferred.
- 3-5+ years’ clinical trials experience preferred
- 2+ years’ research experience preferred
- Knowledge of federal regulation and good clinical practices (GCP)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Efficient work ethic and meticulous attention to detail

Pay: $116,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
