Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite sushi dishes and a strong background in Japanese cuisine.
Duties:
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist in developing new sushi recipes and menu items
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in handling raw fish
- Understanding of food safety practices in the food industry
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and kitchen management
