Provide technical oversight and enforce IT (Information Technology) governance policies within company cloud platforms.
Evaluate security of current Cloud deployments. Implement and automate any needed controls and enforce compliance with company policies.
Contribute code to continue building the governance framework across our cloud environments (both public and private) with an emphasis on Azure and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Collaborate with other technical and business leaders to review system design, security models, networks, firewalls, and other cloud resources for completeness, security, supportability, recoverability, and risk.
Design and implement naming standards, architectural designs, cloud networks, proper guardrails, and technology stacks.
Build effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of IaaS/PaaS cloud environments to ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure.
Manage cloud resource costs and other cloud efficiency areas to continually improve.
Manage company domain names, certificates, and other digital assets relating to IT operations and security.
Develop Engineering Designs for production implementations.
Administer and oversee SaaS (software as a service) services.
Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
Keep abreast of new features, functionality, trends, and other topics to keep our systems compliant with industry best practices and leverage new capabilities

National Storage Cloud Operations is responsible for the engineering and operations of the NSA (National Storage Affiliates) Global Cloud platforms. As a Cloud Engineer you will also be responsible for the implementation of security controls, automate/orchestrate administrative tasks, and enforce governance policies in our cloud environments. You will be focused on writing code that allows us to provide a self-service governance framework that reduces risk for the company, improves accountability, and increases business agility. The efforts you will be involved in will be mostly cross-functional and will involve engineers from multiple teams, as such collaboration skills are just as important as technical skills. This position is key to the success of the organization and requires knowledge and experience across multiple expertise areas.
