The Senior Director, Credentials Verification Operations leads a national team responsible for delivering primary source verification services to key stakeholders, including but not limited to, hospital medical staffs for provider privileges, managed care credentialing, health plan credentialing and joint venture partners. This role is accountable for leading the strategy to standardize and integrate Ascension markets into the Centralized CVO for primary source verification services. This position is a critical leader impacting provider’s ability to work at or send patients to Ascension facilities. This position partners with Leadership teams and cross functional business partners to provide expertise in primary source verification and processes in alignment with national accreditation body standards. The Director serves as a partner to system-wide leaders and providers.
Responsibilities

Leads the integration of local market central verification services work into a National CVO.

Provides leadership, direction and strategic planning in collaboration with medical staff leaders to assure CVO Services are meeting the needs of medical staff governance and structures defined by the medical/dental staff bylaws are fulfilled across all ministries in the region.

Standardize, direct and track efficiency of primary source verification services, processes and policies that demonstrate compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and accreditation bodies and achieve key performance indicators for turnaround time. Ensures appropriate training and compliance is administered regarding all federal/state laws and healthcare accreditation/regulatory agencies.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and evaluating processes. Identify areas for further alignment, process improvement, and address any gaps or deficiencies that arise. Encourage feedback from stakeholders and incorporate their insights into ongoing improvement efforts.
Leadership & Operations

Provides expertise in the areas of primary source verification processes, credentialing, and re-credentialing of providers in alignment with URAC, NCQA and Joint Commission standards.

Skilled leading major process designs and re-designs to achieve turnaround time goals.

Sets strategy, goals and KPIs for the department.

Responsible for hiring, staffing, evaluating and performance management of the department.

Partners with key stakeholders on strategy and operations for collecting and maintaining provider data for system-wide business needs.

Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals. Effective at leading remote teams.

Have worked in large companies, across multiple markets. Can demonstrate understanding of working in complex organizations and bringing people together to develop processes.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences:

7 years of work experience, preferred.

5 years of leadership or management experience, preferred.

10 years of Credentials Verification Operations experience, preferred.

Strong data analytics skill set, preferred

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree, preferred.

Process engineers or Six Sigma, Lean training, preferred.
