Role:
The General Maintenance & Repair Technician maintains patrol vehicles and department assets. The safety of the Officers is dependent upon the condition of the vehicles. This position acts as a backup for the Animal Control Officer/Radio & Vehicle Repair Technician Position
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Minimum Requirements:
Driving: Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable with the Nation's insurance.
Experience: One year of janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience. Previous experience maintaining or making minor repairs to a facility.
Education: Three years of custodial experience
Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (visitors or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Knowledge:

Performing routine maintenance of emergency vehicles and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Conducting tests and inspections of emergency vehicles; determining causes of operating
errors and deciding what to do about it. -
Knowledge of custodial and janitorial products.

Knowledge of computer and cell phone navigation
Skills:

Equipment/Vehicle Maintenance: performing routine maintenance on emergency
vehicles/equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. -
