Ronpak is a nationally renowned manufacturer of carry out paper bags, portion control bags and food wraps with a huge range of choices. Founded in 1947, the company is a solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership. Ronpak has the most advanced production and distribution platforms in the custom printed packaging industry today.

Ronpak has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Shreveport, LA plant 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday.

The Accounts Payable Clerk reports to the Corporate Controller and assumes a supporting role in tasks related to efficient maintenance and accurate processing of all financial transactions. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate processing related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash reconciliations, Inventory reconciliations and journal entries. The Accounts Payable Clerk is involved in preparation of annual budgets, quality forecasts and various financial analyses in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary Responsibilities:

Match invoices to receivers
Key In comput
Set up vendor master (new vendors)
Handle petty cash
Weekly check runs
Set up purchase orders for freight (B/L)
Calculate State compensation insurance
1099 forms
Answer vendor inquiries
Apply cash
Invoicing
Client collection calls
Commission reports
Data entry lot control
Mail pick up and delivery
Answer phones
Responsible for reporting issues related to Food Packaging safety and quality
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Accounting Required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two years Accounts Payable experience.
At least 18 years in age.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Organization and time management skills
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High level of integrity and confidentiality with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Ability to contribute and work well with a team of common goals and responsibilities
PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and with other computer software systems for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other accounting analysis that may be required by management
