SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Merchandiser are to process deliveries, rotate, restock, merchandise and build displays in assigned accounts by performing the following duties.

NOTE: Merchandiser workweek is planned for a 5/9 (5 days/9 hours) alternating schedule to include weekends but may be adjusted for business demands. 45 work hours on average

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Represent company in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
Restock cold boxes, displays, shelves and other areas where products are available for sale.
Responsible for keeping back stock, cold box and displays rotated and in a clean and organized manner. Record both cases stocked as well as out-of-stock products using the VIP merchandising App.
Responsible for adhering to out-of-date beer and product rotation policy.
Adhere to company account and merchandising standards in all accounts.
Maintain a friendly, working relationship with each account.
Maintain safe driving record and comply with company points policy.
Visit each account on the days scheduled to meet the delivery or stock cold box. Perform weekend pull-up at specified times and in accordance with company policy.
Adhere to dress code and be properly groomed.
Attending all scheduled meetings and company functions as required.
Confer with Merchandising supervisor, delivery driver or department, and/or division sales manager to resolve customer problems, address competitive activity, and take advantage of market opportunities.
Establish and maintain relationships with delivery driver and sales consultant to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Obey all federal, state, and local laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Always adhere to company safety standards.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Requires the use of little judgment to follow instructions, using simple equipment in performing duties where the employee is told what to do and has little or no choice as to the procedures used in achieving results.

Occasional mental or visual attention, where the flow of work is intermittent or the operation involves waiting for a process to complete a cycle, with intermittent checking involved. Limited – has little responsibility for equipment which, under normal use and care, would not result in damages.

Little responsibility for safety of others. Probability of causing injury to others is remote. Job performed in an isolated location, or where there is very simple equipment involved and the material handled is very light.
