Calling all Senior Veterinary Techs: Urban Animal Veterinary Hospital is a newer, innovative and independently-owned veterinary hospital in the affluent Houston Heights.

The senior position calls for a minimum of 8 years vet tech experience in a full-service / ER or specialty setting or a combination of these.

Needed Duties:
-Place IV catheters
-Record keeping
-Be able to calculate drug doses
-Know how to perform CPR
-Know how to triage the urgent patient
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Proper positioning of pets and obtaining x-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring of animals
- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
