A locksmith plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of individuals, businesses, and properties. They specialize in repairing, installing, and maintaining various types of locks and security systems. Locksmiths are responsible for providing effective solutions to lock-related problems and ensuring the proper functioning of locks and security systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, including mechanical, electronic, and combination locks.
- Cut new or duplicate keys using key-cutting machines and tools.
- Assess and identify security vulnerabilities in locks and security systems and provide suitable recommendations for improvements.
- Respond to emergency lockout situations and provide timely assistance to individuals who are locked out of their homes, vehicles, or businesses.
- Install and repair safes and vaults, ensuring their proper functioning and security.
- Create and maintain records of all key systems and security measures implemented for easy reference and future maintenance.
- Provide lock-related advice and guidance to clients on enhancing the security of their homes, businesses, or properties.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in lock technology and security systems to provide the most effective and efficient services.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and building trust.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing locksmith duties to minimize risks.
- Excellent knowledge of different types of locks, including mechanical, electronic, and combination locks.
- Proficiency in using key-cutting machines and tools to cut new or duplicate keys accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot lock-related issues and provide effective solutions.
- Attention to detail to ensure the proper installation and repair of locks and security systems.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients, understand their requirements, and provide suitable recommendations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
