Because of manufacturing experience and global sourcing partnerships, Bennett Pump is a low-cost, high-quality producer in the industry and can be significantly more agile and responsive to customers than its competitors. Bennett’s recent growth has resulted in a need for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
GENERAL SUMMARY
This job consists of working on anything that needs cleaning, repairing, and general maintenance in supporting production as the need arises. Must be able to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition of our facilities and equipment. This full-time hourly position reports to the Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeps factory and office areas in good working order by replacing light bulbs, repairing the furnishings, small carpentry work and anything else needed to keep a smooth flow of work.
- Test, maintains, evaluates, and repairs production equipment using instruments such as voltmeters and common hand tools.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
- Performs routine machine maintenance and keep preventative maintenance records.
- Keeps an inventory of spare parts to minimize production stoppages when machines fail.
- Responsible for the equipment recalibration schedule and verifying on time recalibration.
- Required to run a forklift. Maintains the forklifts in good working order.
- May be required to move machinery or equipment.
- Must know lock/tagout operating instruction and procedure.
- Must follow all safety rules and assist the safety committee as needed.
- May be required to perform small electrical, plumbing, or carpenter jobs (Certifications preferred).
- May operate model shop machinery. Maintains tools and machinery in good working order and uses all tools carefully.
- Will repair (apply putty, let dry, and sand) doors as needed.
- Performs any other assigned work as needed.

Education, Technical & Industry Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have skills in the use and care of tools and equipment. Certifications in electrical, plumbing, maintenance, etc. preferred.
