Full Job Description

GREAT BARRINGTON LOCATION ONLY

Performs receiving and distribution operations associated with incoming product deliveries for all store departments while working closely with the receiving supervisor.

Pay Range: Up to $19/hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 5am-1:30pm

At least one year of working experience in retail is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receives deliveries and checks quantities of items accurately.
Review quality of the products when checking in orders.
Verifying actual product against packing slips.
Identifying refrigerated and frozen products properly.
Ensure drivers get return items for credit.
Manages transfers between stores.
Ensuring proper labeling of perishable and frozen transfers between stores.
Follow-up of transfer communication errors.
Splitting/separating invoices by category and store, where appropriate.
Adheres to and meets Receiving standards as outlined in Store Process.
Distributes copies of processed paperwork to mailboxes.
Maintains baler, compactor, and all areas in proper working order; ties bales and directs service team to areas requiring attention.
Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
During inclement weather, assistance with snow removal and salting the perimeter of the store is expected.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Effective time management skills
Strong work ethic and integrity
Comfortable with colder temperatures (cooler/freezer)
Be upright and moving for long periods of time
Lower oneself to grasp objects
Comfortable using ladders
Move carts with products weighing up to 100 pounds
