Job Description:
Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) is seeking a dynamic and experienced adjunct professor to join our Master of Design Innovation (MDES) program for the Spring 2025 semester. The successful candidate will teach "Organizational Behavior," a course designed to equip students with an understanding of human behavior in organizational settings, focusing on the impact of individual, group, and organizational dynamics on innovation and performance.
Courses are held in-person, typically in the early evening. This course enjoys a small classroom setting of 6 to 10 students. While you will retain autonomy to shape your classroom and learning experiences as best to fit your teaching style, you will also find the students arriving with shared relevant experiences from at least Integration Lab, where your students are playing leadership roles in a broader design studio, and Design Leadership Lab, where your students are exploring the dynamics of leadership in the context of product and service design.
As part of the teaching team, you are not required to attend additional meetings beyond your course but you will be given access to a community of practitioners and educators exploring the frontiers of design, strategy, and innovation.
This is a part-time, contract position.
